2007 Annual Report

I am proud to present the annual report of the Clerk of Courts Office for 2007.  Please accept this report on behalf of the dedicated staff and we appreciate your time in viewing the presentation.

We had a very successful year in 2007 and our operating results are particularly gratifying.  Our outcome this year was marked by:
10% increase in Court Cost Collections
48% increase in Credit Card Revenue
38% increase in the Bail Collections

These overall results have a made a significant impact on our financial reporting by the utilization of our state wide system know as Common Pleas Case Management System (CPCMS).  This system accelerates the collection of monies due to the Court, thereby adding to the revenue base of this county.

Our office continues to improve upon our viable internship program.  Students who are interested in pursuing a career in criminal justice, law or law enforcement have a unique opportunity to participate in a cooperative education-learning situation.  Students interact with all aspects of our judicial system.  This program continues to promote access to academic excellence.

We vigorously anticipate this spring our continued commitment with our partners at the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Court (AOPC), Court Administration and the Children and Youth Agency for the enhanced case processing of child welfare cases into our existing state-wide system.  This will continue to improve, manage and accelerate cases of dependent children.

We will continue our long tradition of quality and service while maintaining the integrity of our criminal records.  I would like to thank all who were involved in this report.  We are proud of our team and encourage you to email us at cocassociates@co.bucks.pa.us.

Thank you,

Mary K. Smithson
